The purpose of analysing plant diseases and pests is to improve the operating conditions for the production of healthy and high-quality plants by identifying viruses, fungi, bacteria, insects and eelworms that can damage plants. The studies focus on plant material brought to Finnish production sites, in transit on the EU internal market and imported from outside the EU.
